The firm of Lindsay Liebig Roche is one of the longest established architectural firms in Southeastern Connecticut, celebrating its 100th year in 2006. The firm is a
Limited Liability Corporation, with an annual construction value of
services rendered averaging five million dollars, approximately
thirty-five percent of which is renovation and historic preservation
work.
LLR has provided comprehensive services to clients in private industry as well as State, Federal and Municipal agencies. Our work covers a broad range of building types, including child care facilities, office buildings, museums, schools, industrial, banking, recreational, and commercial structures. A substantial amount of our work also includes renovation, adaptive reuse and historic restoration.
Our clients have included many non-profit organizations, and we are well acquainted with administering projects funded by Federal, State and private grants. Many of our restoration projects have involved buildings on the National Register of Historic Places and have been designed adhering to the Secretary of the Interior’s restoration standards.
LLR offers a full range of services, including site investigations and evaluation, building programming, and architectural and interior design. We manage all mechanical, electrical environmental engineering, and contract administration. LLR is fully computerized and compatible with CAD systems.
We have constructed facilities under design-build contracts and have provided A/E services for negotiated or competitive bid contracts.
The firm is composed of a permanent staff of design professionals well versed in all phases of building design and construction. Technical consultants are selected for each project, as required by design requirements, affording the client an integrated team of design professionals optimized for each project.

At Lindsay Liebig Roche, we take a pragmatic, problem-solving approach to each of our projects. Our design strategy has always been based on assessing our client’s unique needs for each project and providing a complete design that balances these needs with aesthetic creativity, technical innovation and budgetary limitations.
We listen closely to our client during the initial stages of a project to insure that our approach matches their expectations, their vision and their resources. The project architect assigned to a given project follows it from the earliest preliminary design stages to final occupancy.
We also pride ourselves on our ability to work closely and cooperatively with contractors, since the ability to carry out our design will ultimately determine in large part its overall success and value. To this end, our construction documents are always complete and accurate, minimizing change orders and delays.
Lindsay Liebig Roche’s long list of satisfied clients and completed projects spanning a century attests to the success of this design philosophy.
